The Check Disk command is a command run utility used to scan a specified drive for error. This command is designed to locate any file system error or bad sectors on your Hard Drive.  If found, those errors or bad sectors,  will either be repaired or isolated to keep your drive and data safe.   It is usually recommended to use Check Disk commands once a month, to prevent an error like this.

  • Now, Reboot your PC to start the scan.

3. Use SFC scan

The System File Checker or SFC is another command utility like Check Disk. This particular command helps you in taking care of the Windows file. Unlike chkdsk which only focuses or file system error or bad sectors, sfc scan all Windows file. If any file is found corrupter, or need to be repaired, SFC will instantly replace the damaged one with its original copy.

The memory diagnostic tool is an inbuilt Windows tool to check your RAM. Well, BIOS does check all of your Peripherals while POST or booting your PC however, it is really basic and only tests compatibility and functionality. But to really scan your RAM, you will need a tool like the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool.

Using this tool will help you find any problem related to your RAM, which will also explain the Kernel Data Inpage Error.

  • Go to Control Panel and search Memory.

windows memory diagnostics

5. Update Windows Drivers

So far we have checked all our hardware for problems. But at this point, it is pretty sure that our memory components are not the problem. So what now? Well if it is not the memory, or Windows file or files error, then its either the Windows drivers or invalid BIOS setting.

If the Windows Driver is corrupted, damaged or incompatible, then a simple Windows update will solve this issue.

  •  Open Start and type”Windows Update“.

  • Navigate through the menu and click on Update and Recovery.
  • In the Windows Update menu, Click on “Check for Updates

If incompatible or corrupted drivers was not the issue, then perhaps your system is infected with virus or most probably a Malware. Or even if it is not, what wrong will a simple PC scan will do, except taking a lot of time.

So, here is how you can scan your System for antivirus, with Windows in-built, homemade, ultimate super antivirus- The Windows Defender. (Not a big fan)

To be honest, everything should be fixed by now, but it is not. And, the only possible reason I can see for this error is your BIOS. In a nutshell, BIOS is the soul of your PC. It has all the superpowers to mess with your whole PC setting.  Now BIOS doesn’t usually pose a problem unless-

  • It is incompatible with your newly installed software or hardware.
  • Somehow its default setting was changed.

If it’s the first, then uninstall it.

For the other one, here is how to fix-

  • Reboot your PC and press F2 or Del key rapidly to access BIOS.
  • After the BIOS is fully loaded, go to the setting and find Load Default Setting. You will actually have to find it. And Yeah, the mouse doesn’t work.
  • After finding it, just press Enter and select Yes.
  • Now Save your changes and Exit. Your PC will restart and the default BIOS setting will be restored, hopefully, fix the issue as well.
