  1. Greetings,

I’m here on a referral from windows support.
So, this DOES affect a resolution to the issue. However, turning off the system or rebooting negates the fix and it returns to SNAFU mode.

Is there any indication as to what the root cause is? This machine is on its third clean installation on windows 10, -very- basic software installed, all updates applied. This problem has followed me across 2 machines and multiple clean installations of windows. It is an irritant, to say the least. The SFC SCANNOW yields no satisfactory results; but the other steps, when paired with some additional steps provided me by the WSupport Moderator, affects a temporary fix.

Thanks for posting this guide by the way, I’ve had to save a copy offline to follow as a checklist every time this issue rears its head.

  2. When I try to run the ‘DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restore Health’ on the command prompt(admin) it comes back and tells me that DISM is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. What next? I have never had a problem with my printer not printing until now.
